According to the Polish Chamber of Marine Industry and Water Sports – approximately 22,000 yachts are produced annually in Poland. The specialty of our industry is motor yachts 6–9 m long. Poland is the second manufacturer in this category, after the United States. Due to the low demand in the country, more than 95% of the production is intended for export. Polish boats and yachts are associated with high quality. More and more buyers of luxury goods, not only from Europe anymore, but also from all around the world, appreciate the Polish products. According to the data from the Central Statistical Office of Poland, export of Polish vessels is gradually growing, as shown in the graph below.

In 2016, the value of the luxury goods market in Poland amounted to PLN 16.4 billion, which means a 15% increase compared to 2015. According to estimates of KPMG by 2020, the value of this market in Poland will amount to nearly PLN 21 billion.
Since 2013, we have also been observing a significant increase in the domestic demand for boats and yachts, as evidenced by the number of registered watercrafts. In 2016, 1322 units were registered, i.e., 4% more than in the previous year. Small and medium sized yachts still dominate in the structure of the registered yachts in Poland.
