The METS trade fair for three decades has reached the leading position among that kind of events in the world. Open exclusively to entrepreneurs, closed to outside visitors, they create a unique and favorable atmosphere for establishing business relationships and for professionals' discussions.
- Everything we do as METSTRADE organizers revolves around facilitating meetings across the entire spectrum of the sector we create - said Irene Dros, director of maritime affairs at RAI in Amsterdam - Our role is to connect people from around the world in an environment appropriate for creating a business network.
During the fair there was also a Polish national stand organized by the Polish Investment and Trade Agency. It was located in the Polish pavilion among Polish companies presenting their offer. Apart from the information and promotion function, it was used by Polish entrepreneurs to have business meeting with contractors. On the first day of the fair, a press briefing was organized during which an expert, the Secretary General of the Polish Chamber of the Yacht Industry and Water Sports POLBOAT Michał Bąk had speech about the potential of the Polish yacht industry. Guests were welcomed by Ambassador Poland in the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Mr. Marcin Czepelak and President of POLBOAT, Mr. Sebastian Nietupski.
- This year's METS was definitely successful. In addition to the main exhibition main part, the fair was accompanied by an interesting program including lectures of industry experts and presentations of innovative technological achievements as well as award ceremonies for equipment manufacturers and the shipyards. The winners of the last competition included the Galeon shipyard from Straszyn (Poland) – winner in the category of Innovative Design Solutions. The event has traditionally been visited by thousands of professionals from around the world, mostly production managers and buyers looking for new products and technological solutions. It is not surprising, that the participation in the next year's edition, according to the organizers, was already declared by nearly 1,100 companies from around the world. - said Michał Bąk.
This year, the Polish Pavilion located in hall no. 5 included: Bafesto / Seatec, BWP Skórkiewicz, Demex and Kotniz, Janmor, Troton / Sea-Line, VTC Jachting, XDisc / Activesol. In addition to the Polish companies located at the Polish Pavilion, Delphia Yachts, Star Investment / E-tech drives, Woma Knajdek Meble and Aquarius also presented their services at the fair.
