On January 19-27, 2019, BOOT Düsseldorf took place, the largest water sports fair of its kind in the world. The momentum of the event and the ever-growing number of visitors show that this sector is thriving.

Almost 2,000 exhibitors from 73 countries, 1,500 boats exhibited on an area of 220,000 m² and almost 250,000 water sports fans from over 100 countries. All together is an great opportunity to present the offer to a wide range of visitors. Everyone, regardless of whether he is passionate about sailing or a business representative, will certainly find an interesting offer here. Poland was represented by 50 companies with an offer covering almost all sectors present at the fair. Some Polish shipyards were also represented by foreign dealers.

During the BOOT Düsseldorf exhibition, the Polish Investment and Trade Agency organized a national stand whose aim was to promote the Polish yacht industry among foreign entrepreneurs and water sports fans. Industry expert, Michał Bąk - Secretary General of the Polish Chamber of Yacht Industry and Water Sports - Polish Yachts, during the whole time of the fair he answered questions asked by the Polish yacht and boat sector. During the press conference, Michał Bąk presented the advantages and potential of the Polish yacht industry, as well as the potential of the Polish economy. The conference was attended by journalists from international and Polish media.

- This year's edition of the BOOT fair can definitely be considered successful. Over 50 Polish companies presented motor boats, sailing yachts, houseboats, go-carts and other vessels, as well as electric motors, yacht paints, diving and wakeboarding equipment, and sailing clothing. The total number of yachts and boats manufactured in Poland for domestic and foreign "brands" amounted to over 160, which is similar to last year. Polish entrepreneurs were very satisfied with the number of business contacts and the interest of individual clients, and some even said that it was the best trade fair in history for them. And although we will wait for a few more weeks for real effects, the industry is full of optimism after the BOOT trade fair - comments Bąk.

The organizers of the fair indicate that there is a noticeable interest in both larger boats longer than 12 meters and smaller units intended primarily for short and intense time spent on the water.

The growing number of visitors to the fair and interest in the offer of Polish manufacturers gives hope that during the next edition of BOOT Düsseldorf will be even wider.
